While the new comedic duo of Fran Dresher and Rosie O’Donnell may seem unlikely, their shared vision for a new TV show may ring home for viewers. “We’re in development for a new sitcom called The New Thirty,” says Fran. “It’s basically about middle-aged women on the verge of a midlife crisis. We play old high school friends — who live in the same building in Manhattan — who are living very different lives.” Sounds to us like a grown up version of Mary Richards and Rhoda Morgenstern. “It’s kind of Sex and the City but we ain’t getting any! It’ll probably be more like The Odd Couple; I’ll be Oscar and she’ll be Felix,” says Fran.
