With New York fashion week behind us and the London shows quickly drawing to a close, there have been enough cameos by statement lips of the red, pink, and berry varieties to make a well-stocked collection of lipstick/lip stains compulsory for next season. At yesterday’s

I find that I don't
really like to wear anything on my lips, but over the past few
month's I've been experimenting with different glosses and
lipsticks. I used to love Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in
Nude Lustre, and maybe I still do but I haven't been wearing it
as much as… Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (2) | Blog

Right now, I just don't want much color on my lips. The new lip stains from CoverGirl are perfect: Not sticky or glossy, and what I love almost as much as the foolproof, perfectly-matte lipstick effect is the magic-marker pen it comes in. (Since it sits right next to my keyboard, it's doubled as an actual pen on more than one occasion.)

Beauty news from Cannes! Angelina Jolie appeared at the "Inglorious Basterds" premiere wearing gorgeous red lipstick. Normally, Angelina sticks with nude or pale pink lip colors, so this was quite surprising (don't believe me about the nude lips? check out these pics for proof).
The rumor is that she normally shies away from bold lip colors because she thinks her lips are too big (um, she would be the only person with this opinion, am I wrong?). But maybe this new shade will grow on her, we think it's striking.
Want lips that look like Angelina's? Well, we can't do much about the size (we're not cosmetic surgeons), but we can help you recreate her color: Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (20) | Blog

Do You Wear Lip Liner........?
Back when I was a teenager, the lip look to wear was lip liner, followed by a lipstick a shade (or two) lighter than your liner. Gloss wasn't really in the mix, as the matte, chalky look was in, but as I got older, gloss made the entire look much softer and more mature. Nowadays, if I'm getting dressed up, I'll wear liner, but I'll apply my lipstick with a brush to create a seamless and completely blended look. It's become almost a faux-pax now to have "ring around the lips" and have your liner showing. Tell me: do you still wear lip liner or do you skip it altogether?
