First, l need to tell you that I have not given up anything for Lent. In fact, I haven't given up anything for the last 20 or so Lenten seasons. And to be completely truthful, the very few instances that I have given up something, the sacrifice has never made it the full 40 days.
Some people will think this is pathetic. Others will think it is appalling. Some of you will understand and a good percentage of you could care less whether I get chubbers on chocolate or wean myself off of Diet Coke during Lent or not.
