Side One: Americans are begging for jobs at an ever increasing rate; yet E-Verify was struck from the final stimulus bill. It is predicted that a minimum of 300,000 jobs Americans need will now be filled by Illegals. It is especially unfair to drop this protection for less-educated young American born blacks and hispanics, actually all young folks lacking a college degree, who were already finding jobs scarce BEFORE the economy crumpled.
The overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants have a high school degree or less. As a result, illegals are primarily employed in construction, building cleaning and maintenance, food preparation, service and processing, transportation and moving occupations, and agriculture.
