    1. Disperse Qi, Reduce Sha Qi
The principles of feng shui aim to create harmony between you and your environment, enhance your well-being and eliminate the negative effects of your surroundings. This ancient Chinese philosophy is based on nurturing positive energy, called qi, to live a peaceful, healthy life. Elements of feng shui are said to promote your prosperity and foster positive relationships, especially at work. In turn, the negative energy flowing throughout our lives is labeled sha qi. This negative energy can collect up in your work space in pointed corners, through piles of clutter and because of unharmonious floor plans.

"The precious stone that is associated with the month of September is the oh so exquisite and magically mystical sapphire. It has long been believed that simply wearing sapphires close to the skin (as in encrusted or embedded in some form of jewelry) will bring favor and fortune to the wearer. These magnanimous blessings and fortunes will fall from the heavens above and will help to ward off jealousy, negative energies and that old green-eyed monster of envy. The stellar star sapphire has been known in many traditions and cultures to bestow big bouts of good luck, and there are many stories that prove it. These sapphires were also called Stones of Destiny and were said to represent faith, hope and, of course, destiny. Healers say that sapphires can bring joy, peace and wealth. Whether or not your birthday is this month, it's an excellent idea to adorn your life with a little star sapphire to clear your thoughts, enhance your creativity and enchant almost everyone around you. Now, that's one precious promising and power-packed gem!"

"What to do for 'Mayflower Day' becomes the question of the moment. Do I talk turkey and offer a recipe including that tom? Do I spout spiritual success stories that underscore the successes of the persistent and powerful seekers such as those first pilgrims? Or do I just go with my gut and talk about the importance of the Feng Shui symbolism of sailing ships? I think we all know what direction my compass is pointing. There are certain strong symbols of wealth, abundance and prosperity in Feng Shui that can almost be said to supersede all others. But the sailing ship is one of the most important prosperity producing symbols in this philosophy. This symbol, whether a literal 3-D model of a ship or an image of one, brings opportunities for wealth from the waters and the winds. A sailing ship loaded with treasures such as coins, faux gold ingots, fake jewels, diamonds and pearls sailing into your home or office should bring a big boost of increased income and some unexpected but still quite lucky largesse. The more ships you have the better, as each ship symbolizes yet another source or stream of revenue and income. One ship should be stationed in the part of the living room that's closest to the front door and another should be sailing somewhere in the office. Just be perfectly sure that any ship symbol is sailing into the house or room and never away. Otherwise your prospects and your prosperity might just sail away with them!"

"According to the American Indian calendar, September is the time of the 'harvest moon,' or the 'Moon of the Black Cherries.' In fact, this month also has many floral associations with the blackberry. There's a holistic flower essence remedy that uses the blackberry as its base and all the power that fruit holds to change obstacles that keep us from attaining our most dearly held dreams and desires. In fact, it's said that blackberry flower essence can greatly aid the person who can't manifest what they want in their lives. The spirit and the subconscious might have many lofty goals and visions, but sometimes they just can't make them come to life in living color. The remedy goes on to promise that the person who can't seem to get out of their own head could benefit from the blessings of the blackberry. Physically, blackberry is said to aid with sluggish circulation and slow metabolism, bringing radiance and a charge of light to the lower limbs while bestowing an illumination upon the will of the human soul. Sounds like this blackberry can keep you better connected to the body, mind, manifestation and soul that that other PDA piker could ever do!"

"During these days of soaring unemployment, it's more critical than ever to honor the relationship between boss and employee. Never are those energies felt more acutely than today, 'National Boss/Employee Exchange Day.' If you're looking to make your mark in the office and impress the person responsible for your reviews and rewards, then it's important to assess the 'Fame' area of the main floor of your living space. Located at the back center or the middle of the far back wall of the house (looking in from your front door, divide the main floor of your home into a tic-tac-toe board. The area to which I refer would be considered the top center grid or square). Into this space place an image or a picture of a peacock. According to Feng Shui, the peacock symbolizes another high-flyer, the phoenix. These birds are believed responsible for bringing the 'employee' recognition, bonus and big boons from the boss. The phoenix can rise from the ashes as well, so even if you've been having a hard time at work, this adjustment will activate energies of transformation of your reputation. If you're really hoping to heat up your 'Q' factor, then you can also hang a picture of a phoenix or peacock at the entrance to your office. Then sit back and wait as opportunity for increased exposure and rewards literally fly through your door. Now, isn't it about time for you to get out and strut your stuff?"
