Cutting curly hair is nothing
like cutting straight hair — curly hair needs a lot of shape or it
can take on a triangular shape. Here, some tips before you
make your next salon appointment:
•Have your stylist cut your hair when it is dry — curly hair is
different when it’s wet versus when it’s dry. Once dry, curly hair
expands and gets shorter.
•Go for layers: Layers can eliminate bulk in curly hair. Avoid
blunt cuts, which only make your curls expand more (not pretty on a
hot, humid day!).
