Polished concrete floors are a often associated with meat lockers and high school weight rooms.

Their cold, hard and austere image is changing, though, thanks to Transparent House, a San Francisco based 'visualization studio.' The concept allows for application of any pattern to the concrete during the pouring or after the concrete has been set.
