Celebrity Sunglass Secrets

When Lady Gaga took us shopping in Los Angeles, she let us in on a huge secret— her favorite spot for vintage sunglasses, which also happens to be where Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani get their shades. Check out our video for all the details!



It doesn't look like much from the outside, but Jack's Eyewear (120 S La Brea Avenue; 323-933-1402) is the main shade supplier to celebrities (and celebrity stylists) who pay thousands of dollars for his one-of-a-kind finds like vintage Versace, Persols and classic Porsche frames, like the ones made famous by Yoko Ono.

When we paid a visit with Gaga, Jack brought out some special new arrivals and she couldn't try them on fast enough. Gaga's a true sunglasses connoisseur— she knows as much about each brand's provenance as she does about haute couture. And she inspected each one like a mini-work of art. She's always on the look out for shades when she travels but, she insisted, even in Germany, London, Paris, and New York she's never found a place with a selection that comes close to Jack's.
