Revealed: How J.Lo Gets That Glow

partner

If gusty winds gave J. Lo and the updo she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of This Is It some trouble on the red carpet last night, her flawless complexion and sultry smoky eye were pure perfection. Heavy black liner on the inner rims of both her upper and lower lash lines provided plenty of wow factor, but the wash of metallic shadows in black and brown with a Champagne highlight in the inner corners explains why you can’t stop staring. Should you also find yourself transfixed by her skin, here’s a tip makeup artist Scott Barnes gave us a while back regarding Lopez’s signature glow: “The trick [with bronzer] is to work from the outside of the face inward, rather than the other way around. This creates a halo effect and leaves a diamond shape of light in the center, so your face appears a little more open.” And how. Thoughts on her look?

Not impressed, it looks like she did her eye make up for over an hour but forgot to put lipstick on. Nope, not transfixed at all and her hair could use a brush

Why does she always squint? It doesn't make her look sexy or alluring, it makes her look...well...strange!

I agree about the lipstick...it's like she didn't finish putting her make-up on.

It doesnt look good. Its way too thick. If I wore that I couldnt wait to get it off, looks like her eyes weigh an extra 5 lbs.

Heavy harsh eyeliner accentuates lines and makes you look hard and old. She's not pulling this off, it's meant for 20somethings.

Sorry but I think she looks common. Just go to any salsa club and you'll see the same over-done look on every woman there.

Her complexion is far from flawless looking-- there's redness around her nose, her forehead is showing wrinkles, she looks oily. Nope, I didn't find myself transfixed by her skin.

OMG this site needs moderators for spam in the worst kind of way!

And I noticed a few people commenting on her lack of lipstick...but it is a pretty well known fact that a dramatic eye calls for a subtle lip, and vice versa. If you try to do both you end up looking way over done...

I agree completely with The Mims.

    Flawless? Hardly!

More like tired and in need of a facial wipe to tone

    down that sweaty look.
