Report AbuseI met my husband when I was 45, and we were married when I was 47. He is five years younger than me and despite having to weather stepkids, job changes, and other issues that all couples deal with, we are still together six years later. It can be done, but just as all relationships, it takes work.

Report AbuseI am 42 and Friday night I went on a date with a man 27.
It's the best date I've had in months.
I am not sure your perspective, I would like to date someone my age, however, I meet more men who are understanding of me being a divorcee with young children who are younger than me, versus men my age who always seem to want a mother for themselves.
Have you dated any one younger or are you condsidering it and at the same time concerned about the stigma attached? Especially with the whole "cougar" thing being talked about so much in the media?

Report AbuseWhen I was 26 I dated and lived with a woman eight years older than me. It was great, she showed me a lot of things women like in bed.
Unfortunately, we went our separate ways, but I still loved what she did for me. Don't knock it until you have tried it.

Report AbuseI am finding that I am being approached by younger men. In the past I would have never considered it. Now I see it as an option. Yes I am considering dating younger men. Now the question is where do you draw the line. How much younger?

Report AbuseWell, what are the ages of your children?
My sister is 37. Dates men that are at the least 10 years younger than she is because she has a 16 year old son from her first marriage.
I am 42, and my children are 11 & 9. A 27 year old man is the youngest man I have ever gone out with, however, I admit that would probably be my cut off.

Report AbuseI don't have any children. I guess 10 to 15 years younger would be good for me. There is someone who is 12 years younger who is very interested and in pursuit hot and heavy. I think I will slow down and let him catch me. I am wondering why men in my age group (50+) are not interested.

Report AbuseThat's a ggod question, SaMocha. I don't meet many men in my age group either. I do say, however, go with the flow. And be pleasantly surprised.
Happy Dating.

Report AbuseI'm dating someone whose 12 years younger and we've been having a healthy relationship for 4 years now. It is possible to have a no-drama situation with a younger man. Cheers!
