Enhance Your Relationships by Improving Your Own Self-Confidence!

Self-confidence

Having a lack of self-confidence can affect all areas of life such as:

·        Work

·        Romantic relationships

·        Friends

·        Family

·        Achievements

·        Decision Making

Self-confidence can drastically affect the relationships we have in life. In romantic relationships, we may settle for someone we are incompatible with or put up with situations we shouldn’t.

Self-confidence should be at a healthy place where we have balance in relationships. We should feel we give as much as take and shouldn’t feel used.

Some easy ways to build self-confidence

Positive Affirmations and Self-Talk

o   I love and accept myself

o   I am living my dream life

o   I am blessed

o   I am courageous

o   I have the power to achieve whatever I want and the world is at my fingertips

o   I am a strong and confident person

o   People like me and enjoy being around me

o   I am a great friend, wife, mother, and daughter

Listing achievements and setting goals

o   Achieving goals and finding a purpose can significantly increase self confidence

o   Reaching physical, career, and educational goals can increase confidence

o   Listing prior achievements and reflecting on accomplishments can help boost motivation

Visioning exercises

o   Listing goals, inspirational quotes, and motivational pictures and people on a bulletin board

o   Taking time each morning to vision the perfect day

o   Listing goals

Developing a better social network

o   Reconnecting with old friends and family

o   Joining groups and clubs to meet new people

o   Calling friends at least once a week

Being Thankful

o   Creating a list of things to be thankful for

o   Reviewing the list daily

o   Saying “thank you, thank you, thank you” out loud

o   Thinking of something to be thankful for when something goes wrong

Practicing thinking positive thoughts

·        Avoiding negative people, shows, the news, etc.

·        Smiling

·        Working on one’s appearance (going to the salon, getting a manicure, working out, etc.)

·        Having productive and enjoyable hobbies

·        Replacing negative habits with positive habits

·        Relaxation techniques (yoga, massages, exercise, meditation, prayer, etc.)

·        Having a positive and self-confident role-model to look up to

·        Setting boundaries with other people

·       Self-care

·        Self-discovery

o   Discovering what one wants out of life and relationships will increase self-confidence

o   Use visioning questions such as:

What will your life look like in 10 years?

What does your ideal relationship with your mom/spouse/brother/etc. look like?

What is your life’s purpose?

I know what builds my own self-confidence after having been cut and persistenly abased by the jealous souls of this planet, is watching all you guys who I know are nothing more than DUMB MONKEYS in disguise still trying to figure it out as place and purpose in life. Watching all of your idiocies from business to love makes me feel that much more confident.
