Don't we ever learn?

Dont' we ever learn? 

What is the deal with people trying to ban things in this country or hold other people back/down.

Please allow me to give you some examples as to why we should just allow Homosexuals to marry and just move on to the next topic of social injustices.

Complaint:

Blacks want to be free and have all the rights white people have including voting and going to the same schools. White people didn't want that but fast foward to the '60s-'70s and where they are equal and have all the rights white folks have. 

Verdict:  Blacks get there rights and white people (men and women) look like A-holes for the next who knows how long (rightfully so).

Complaint:  

Women want all the rights men have and want to be treated as equals in every aspect, which include equal pay and to be able to hold any job they want.

Verdict: Women get the rights and once again who look like A-holes? Men.  All men not just whites. 

Complaint:  Homosexuals want to be allowed to enter into the state of marriage in the same legal way as heterosexuals.  Including all the tax benefits and other legal benefits such as adoption and insurances.

Verdict:  Some places you were able to but most places you weren't.  (Why does geography matter in whether or not gay marriage is legal??)  Now,  gay marriage has been BANISHED FROM THE ALL THE LAND!.

Do we see a patern people?!?!?!?! 

Whites held down the blacks for many years but blacks finally prevailed.
Men held down women for many years but women finally prevailed.
Heterosexuals hold down the gays and I'm willing to bet sooner or later Gays will prevail.

You know eventually Gays will get there rights because thats just the way it goes and then Heteros will look like A-holes.

I guess this is just the natural order of things.  Since Blacks and Women suffered for a while maybe it's like this is your "gay pledging period" or your gay initiation into the world of legal rights.

I hope patience is a virtue of the gay world.  It might take a while for Heteros to come around.  Then again heteros are made up of blacks, and women (not just the white-man) both of whom have been a victim of a lack of rights so maybe they will be a little bit more sympathetic.
