User post: I Happen to Like Tori Spelling

user

There, I said it. One of my friends on Facebook recently admitted to liking the new Miley Cyrus song, “The Climb.” I have a lot of respect for people who willingly admit potentially embarrassing truths, so I took her lead and decided to throw props to Tori Spelling, especially in the wake of her mother’s continued public betrayal.

I have to be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of Tori Spelling during the 90210 days. In fact, I didn’t really like the show at all. The plot was horribly predictable and the amount of hair gel being used on the boys was obscene. Last year, I started watching reruns of Tori & Dean: Inn Love and was just amazed at how quickly I started to like Tori. She was funny, sincere, sweet, honest, goofy and even vulnerable.

The show didn’t seem overly contrived  me and the whole notion of a Hollywood couple trying to downsize their lives (while pregnant) and renovating a B & B at the same time was pretty entertaining. I haven’t seen the new show, Home Sweet Hollywood, but as a mother with two small children myself, I know it can only be non-stop chaos. The good kind.

Today rumors fly about Tori’s weight and Tori’s psycho mom, Candy, etc. I have no idea what’s true and what isn’t, but I feel sorry for her. When push comes to shove she’s a woman, wife and mother trying to make it all work. That’s no easy feat. Motherhood is the most rewarding job around, but it requires every bit of your time, energy and emotions. I can't imagine how hard it must be to hold your head up high with rumors swirling around in tabloids non-stop. If my mom started sending open letters to TMZ about what should be private issues, I’d be mortified.

Maybe this all a big publicity stunt - who knows? If it’s not, It’s just plain sad. And not the good kind.

I love Tori Spelling too! I just found this out last night when I discovered I had the Oxygen Channel and saw a few minutes of Home Sweet Hollywood. I hate reality shows but I instantly fell in love Tori, Dean and their two adorable kids.

I personally don't think she is anorexic, just naturally thin. From what I saw (I ended up watching it for like 2 hours because I got sucked in since it was the finale lol), she made a lot of food and ate all of it too. An anorexic wouldn't be so comfortable around food, let alone be eating and joking about it.

As for the thing with her mother, I don't really know the whole story but Tori's emotions seemed very genuine. Hope everything works out for the whole family!

I think she's really sweet too. I think she's quite mature the way she's handling her "mom" situation. If I could say one thing to her mom it would be "Get a life".....anyway, Tori and Dean are sweet and I think she's doing great with her career and family. I wasn't always a fan either in the early days but she's seems so normal and down to earth.

it's so weird I used to make fun of people that had any great opinoin on celebritys, watching reality shows. I gotta say I have become a big fan of Tori's. She seems like such a sweety and I totally get most of her life as a mother and wife myself. Of course I don't have to deal with people taking pictures of me and commenting like they know me... celebrity mag.s buy these pictures because we buy them, DON'T BUY THEM!!! GO TORI SPELLING YOU ROCK!!!!

Gosh i totally LOVE Tori TOO!! Haven't missed a episode yet! She seems so sweet and genuine not fake like the rest of em. She is a great wife and mother and her mom need to stop being so darn immature already.

I like Tori Spelling too! I haven't seen too many of her episodes (and never watched 90210 at all - I'm too old) but I like Tori and she has a lovely family (except mom). I like Tori and I'm not embarrassed about it - not that it ever comes up in conversation. :)

Me too. She is a sweet as can be. Dean is alittle annoying with the constant sexual remarks however overall I enjoy the show.

Go Tori. Stay focused on your family.

I watched it last year and was surprised how nice she seems to be, and actually pretty genuine. I feel sorry for her situation with her mom because I had a wacko mother too, and believe me, it leaves a dent in your psyche. I was lucky in that that mine wasn't blasting all our problems all over the world.

I also think that the mean spirited and hateful people that comment on her looks are horrible. She looks like both of her parents, and let's face it; neither if them is very good looking. People who hate her will always have negative things to say about her face, weight, breasts, etc.... it's very childish and has nothing to do with what type of person she is.

I watched Tori on the Tyra Banks show several months ago and found her to be a very sweet and genuine person who grew up in such a rich household that it of course had an affect on her. I really enjoy watching her.
