A group of teenagers are helping the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission by taking part in an undercover sting operation to keep restaurant and bar owners in check.
Galveston and Bolivar Peninsula in Texas are popular hangouts for teen and college-aged spring break revelers. Underage teens, under the watchful eyes of the police, are hitting up local bars, restaurants and stores to see if they'll serve booze to minors. As of last week, 88 establishments were visited in the county and 15 were cited for selling alcohol to a minor.
The kids can't lie about their age, can't alter their appearance to look older (teen girls were specifically told to forgo heels or heavy makeup) and of course, can't keep the booze.
