The Conversation-- another poem from the soul/heart
user
“The Conversation”
I feel my chest tighten
I cannot see, and
as I begin to panic
A small still voice says unto me
Peace my child, be still
I know this voice from
From a long time ago
It is God who I
had at some point let go
God do you still love me
Do you even care
He said Yes my child
I’ve always been there
Well where are you now
In my time of need
I cry out in desperation
As my heart it bleeds
By your side then
And carrying you now
Even through your choice
To be the prodigal child
Then why is it that
You did what you did
And once you had done
It ,yourself you hid
You took her Lord you
Took her away,
You didn’t give me
One more second
Hour, nor day
You are punishing
Me. This I do see
But why take her from
her entire family
First of all, she was
Mine all along and
I told my daughter
It was time to come
Home . To punish you is
Not the goal. This was
Her part in saving
Your soul. I wanted
To bring together
Broken bridges and
Pull you all in and
If you do right you
Will see her again
I love you my child
I love you I do
And if I did not
Why waste time creating
You. There is always
A reason for all
That I do, and trust
Me, it only means
Good for you. I know
You are afraid and
That you cannot see
The entire picture
Of what is to be
And as for my daughter
She’s here safe with me
So let not your heart
Harden and your soul
Be worry free for
Every little
Pain, trust, I do see
And this pain it will
Pass believe you in me
And when you feel
You are too tired
To go on remember
I am the Lord that
Keeps you strong

Very nice,
Haven't we all questioned God in our time of need? I like that your poem is so relatable. Most anyone could say oh yeah I been there...
I believe that is an element to making successful poems!
Nice work!!! Thanks for sharing it!

That was heartwarming. I question the Lord often. Sometimes I get so mad at him I don't even pray at night before I go to bed. Can you please pray for me as I hopefully start my first year of college in 2 weeks. I say "hopefully" because I haven't paid my tuition yet. I'm still collecting money for it. Thank you for commenting on my page.
