Fun in the sun, is what summer is all about.
The beach, the sun and the waves.
So much to do, so little time to do it all.
Having fun with friends and family.
Bar-be-ques, picnics, parties.
Going to the beach, was the first thing to do.
Trying to surf and falling, also doing some fishing.
It's what summertime is to me.
Many birthdays, many birthday wishes sent out.
Cruising in the car or riding a Harley.
Feeling the summer breeze as you drive or ride.
The summer nights, spent with a special someone.
Watching the stars come out and seeing the constellations.
Seeing if a shooting star will go by.
Make a wish and see if it comes true.
All the wonderful food of summertime.
Watermelon, ice cream and snow cones.
I remember those as a kid, I still eat them till this day.
Having fun as kids celebrate, no school for a few months.
Watching as the days go by and summer draw to a close.
Seeing the kids faces, as they dread the start of school.
Cause it means, not playing till dark in the back yard.
No more spending all day in the pool.
No more staying up late to watch TV.
Or staying up late to play video games.
So many things I remember as a kid.
My summers spent, hanging out.
Spending time with cousins and friends.
Spending time with my Grandmother, before she passed.
All the past memories, the time went by fast.
As summer draws to a close.
New memories are made, to remember later in years.
The summer time is one of my favorite times of the year.
So much fun to have, so little time to have that fun.
Wondering what I'll do next summer.
Will I be living in the same place next year.
So many things will change, by next year.
For now it's time to enjoy the rest of summer.
And see what memories are made before summer ends.
