Leachman's award-winning career started in the late 1940s. She studied at the Actor's Studio under the famed Elia Kazan. But she is best remembered for her role of nosy landlady Phyllis Lindstrom on the "Mary Tyler Moore Show," and as Frau Blucher in the original Mel Brooks movie, "Young Frankenstein."
The eight-time Emmy Award winner brought down the house with naughty references to handsome John Stamos as well as her late friend Jack Benny.
