ATTENTION ALL CHRISTIANS! ! ! !

As Christians, it is our job to witness and be an example of a Christian and how awesome the Lord is. Why be ashamed of the Gospel?? in the Bible (im not good with references) it says that the Gospel is the power of righteousness. And in the beginning, Adam and Eve were naked and they were NOT ASHAMED. Why be ashamed of something so wonderful? Why hide something that sets people's souls free, and brings comfort to their hearts? Why deny the person that though He never did anything wrong, bled, suffered and DIED for all of the wrong things YOU have done and will do in the future???

Well, a lot of Christians are ashamed of the Gospel because they do not wish to be ridiculed or rejected. they do not think that loving the Lord and denying themselves of worldy things is "cool". They only wear their "Christianity badge" in church where they believe they are safe from being mocked or singled out.

I thought long and hard about this after hearing how Christians are ashamed at a Student Venture meeting at Bethel Bible Village. and i have come to a conclusion: If Jesus Christ was rejected and ridiculed, and hated and mistreated just so that you could be saved from all of the sins that you do, why cant you risk going through that same stuff for Him? He came from the blessed wonderful place called Heaven to come to earth and go through things such as heartache, pain, hunger, betrayal, denial, and cruxifixion just so that YOU could maybe one day if you choose to receive Him, could have eternal life in Heaven. and you cant tell someone else how great He is? you cant love Him out in the open, in public and deny yourself from worldy things such as drinking, fighting, etc? You cant change your life style and only have God's will in your mind? All because you're afraid that you'll be judged and ridiculed? it sounds like you're putting everyone else before Him. and i'm gonna tell you what a friend one day told me....

I WOULD RATHER BE COOL FOR GOD THAN COOL FOR THE WORLD.

You go, sister! I hope you are never ashamed. It's important to proclaim God's truth, but always speak the truth in love. I never hide my Christianity, but I try to be respectful to others. There is a verse in 2 Timothy (Chapter 1, beginning with verse 8) that describes exactly what you are talking about. God bless you :)

I'm not ashamed of believing in God and knowing that Christ has died for me.

However, I lead by example, instead of trying to force down my beliefs on anybody.

When people see the joy in me and ask,why I am so happy, I let them know know who and why has brought joy to me.

The way I see it is if Christ were rejected, and I follow Him,I expect the same.

I store my treasures in heaven.

But, not all believe for various reasons. Christ loved the sinner, not the sin. So I do my best not to judge. That is not my job.
