In the Darklands, Ada was poking her head out of the cave she dug up. Choyo and Mjinga are no where to be seen, so she went out to practice on her powers. They have not been active, and she was not able to use them. Ever since Malaki got hurt, her Shetani and Shamer's eyes have not showed up in her time of need. The dark lioness found a dead carcass, and decided to practice her powers on that. She tried to get angry, thinking that the carcass was either Choyo or Mjinga. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end, she felt her claws coming out, and her teeth was getting sharper. All she needed was her eyes to turn red, but nothing happened. She closed her eyes and thoight of all the terrible things that have happened, just to make herself angry. She knows it wouldn't work, but the teenager knows she has to try. Ada looked at the carcass again and imagined it was Choyo, ready to fight her. Finnaly her eyes turned red and she attacked. Ada was realievd that she finnaly felt the power of her Shetani. She has never felt the energy in such along time. Her fur color was starting to turn red, but Ada felt something was pulling her, and she saw that a lioness was there. Ada jumped away and was looking at the lioness. The teenager's red slited eyes went back to normal, and she just looked at the mysterious lioness.
"Umm.... c-can I help you?" Ada asked shyly. The lioness just looked at her with her dark red eyes. She had a bright orange fur, and a black pointed nose. Ada was starting to back away, then the lioness opened her mouth.
"Where did you get those scars?" She asked. She was talking about the slashes Ada have on her chest that she recieve from Choyo. The teenager realized that the lioness have the same scars.
"Ugh.... from a lion." The lioness was getting closer to Ada and whispered in the teenager's ear
"You have to get out of here. This is no place for a cub to live."
"But I have no where to go. I have someone to take care of here, and I can't abandon him."
"..... It's something that you just have to risk." Ada moved her head, and realized that the lioness dissapeared.
"....Guys.....promise me then when things get worse, you will leave?" Ada remembered what Anga told them a few hours before he got murdered. Ada sighed and walked back to her cave. When Ada was about to pass by a bush, she realized that there was something glowing in the cave. She ducked, and realized that it was the firefly. Ada was starting to crawl over to the cave, and was hiding behind a tree. She was waiting for the firefly to come out. Ada was getting closer to her cave, and saw that her chance to strike was perfect. She jumped and caught the firefly.
"HA! Got ya again!" Ada let go of the small animal, and once again, it stayed in its place. "If only you could talk. I would like to know what you're doing here." Ada smiled and walked away, and to her surprise, a voice came up.
"I'm Artemis." Ada stopped and looked back.
"Did you just talk?"
"Yes. You don't believe that I said so?"
"Ugh.... no... No I-I don't." Ada was amazed. She just stared at this thing, all amazed. "Who are you?"
"Well, first of all, I am a star, not a firefly. Secondly, I am a Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt. I came down to help you and your friend."
"Well, you haven't done a really good job. there, 'sweety'...."
"I tried to do that best that I can. I am not allowed to do much. I have used some of my maginc to keep Malaki alive. I have helped him not to age, not to grow hungry or thirsty, and he will not lose his strength until he has awaken. I have helped you as well, by making you become stronger, but your poor state from those villinous lions have not helped you as I thought my magic would have."
"Oh... Thanks. Please, help Malaki more than me, I have to try to keep him alive. He is the only one I have, I can't lose him."
"I understand."
"CUB!!!" Mjinga yelled. Ada sighed. She looked at Artemis, and went to the cave to see what the lions want. Artemis stayed with Malaki and kept him safe.
"Yes,..... My Kings?" Ada chocked.
"What are you doing over there?! You;re supposed to be getting food!!!" Choyo yelled.
"I just went earlier today, I have went 6 miles away, which was close to the border, and there is no sign of food."
"You are so worthless..."
"Then why do you keep me here!?"
"We need you to get us food and pay attention to our needs!!!"
"I am nothing for you two! I shouldn't even be here, and I should've left this place with Malaki when I had the chance!!"
"Where would you go?!"
"To my family's land!!" Ada was starting to walk away, leaving Choyo alone.
"No.... what about your cubs?" Ada stopped in her tracks. Did she hear correctly? Or was her deaf ear playing with her? Ada looked back confused.
"What did you say?"
"You heard me correctly, didn't you? You know how Kingdoms work. Every Kingdom must have a cub, an heir to the throne." Choyo grabbed Ada's muzzle with his claws and looked straight into her red eyes. "So... you shall be my Queen.." Ada squirmed out of Choyo's paws, leaving new scratches in her muzzle.
"Never!! Not even if it's for the sake of the lion kind! I will never be your mate!" Ada was going to walk away again, but Mjinga got her tail. Luckily for Choyo, he came just in time. Ada was growling and she jumped, and her tail was free.
"C'mon... there is nothing else for you to live for here in this cruel world." Choyo said. He was speaking in such a calm and cool tone, but the teenager isn't buying it. She thought of a lie, and smiled.
"..... I'll think about it..." She swished her tail in front of the noses of the two male lions. Choyo and Mjinga smiled and left to another location. As soon as she was out of their sight, she shrugged adn shivered, and went back to her cave.
Later in the day, Ada made her decision of leaving the Darklands, alone. She knows that Artemis will take care of Malaki, and tell him where Ada has gone when he wakes up. The dark lioness went out of the cave wiith Artemis.
"...... Are you sure you don't want help?" Artemis asked.
"No... I'm sure. I just need you to take care of Malaki. Tell him that I'm going to my Uncle's Kingdom."
"Alright...." Ada went back into the cave, adn saw Malaki. Please wake up soon. She thought. Ada nuzzled Malaki and licked him goodbye on the cheek. Ada smiled at Artemis and went off running. She was heading to a hill that was covered with rocks. Under it used to be the river, but since the drought, nothing was here. The hill was her own way to see where is the direction to go to her Uncle's land.
Mjinga saw the teenager running away. He quickly told his brother, and they quickly ran to attack. Ada was already half way to the top. She was still weak, since she was injured and hurt everywhere, but she knows she must go on. Unfortunatley, she heard roars. Ada looked down, and saw that Choyo and Mjinga were at the bottom. Ada wished she has not looked down. Ada tried to breathe calmly and was starting to climb again.
"CUUUUB!! COME BACK HERE!!!!" Choyo yelled.
"DON'T MAKE US GET YOU!!!!!" Mjinga yelled. Ada was trying hard to concentrate and her paw was starting to hurt. Ada was feeling tired, but she kept on going.
"C'mon Ada.... don't stop..." The lioness said to herself. Ada felt her tail ring was slipping, so she tried to lift up her very long tail, and the small golden band was at the tip of the tail. The tail ring was the energy source of her powers, given to her by her grandmother. Ada was almost there, bit Mjinga was starting to climb. Ada stepped on a large rock, but it was lose. Ada lost her balance and she was starting to fall. Ada fell on her side, and she did not move. Her tail ring was gone, she did not feel it anywhere. Ada growled, and was starting to get up, but Choyo tackled her.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!??? TRYING TO SNEAK AWAY??!!"
"I wanted to get out of here!!! RRRR!! Now...... ugh! GET OFF OF ME!!!!" Ada was squirming, adn she got up, growling at the lions.
Artemis was wondering where the lions were. She thought they might have come already. The star went up to teh high sky, to see of Ada has made it to some other location, but found that Ada was in danger.
"Noo!!" She yelled. She flew back down and went into the cave. "Malaki!!! Malaki!! Wake up!! Ada!! She's in danger!!! We have to go help her!!!" Artemis yelled. She was trying to use her light to see if Malaki might wake up, but nothing. So, she just relaxed and concentrated. She was shining brighter adn light was surrounding ever inch of Malaki. She carried him out of the cave, and laid him on the ground. She concentrated again, and her light was going into his head.
In the unknown, Malaki was walking, and he was starting to give up. He closed his eyes, squeezing it tight.
"Ugh.... I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. There's no hope.... I can't find my way home..." He laid down, adn he was starting to cry. He was getting so frustrated. As easy as it is to just walk on a path, he misses Usiku, he misses his home, Ada, his mother who died when he was just a young cub, and he misses that mysterious lioness that was in his dreams. She was so beautiful. The blue light that was surrounding her, and her voice..... it was calm.... a bit similar like his mothers. Malaki wishes that she's here, sheding that light into him, giving him life. Then, he saw in a light in the distance, adn he was feeling so happy, so relieved.
"Usiku!! You were right all along!!" he yelled happily, but as soon as he was just a few inches away from the light, the demon lions appeared. In front of them all, was the dark lioness.
"Do you really want to go back to that cruel and cold world? Do you really want to leave Usiku behind?" the lioness asked, but her voice was different, it was like a hiss, a growl, and a threat. Malaki was feeling scared, and he did not feel happy anymore. He knows he has to fight, but he feels like is he doesn't even have the strength to...........
Ada was trying to dodge every move that Choyo and Mjinga were trying to aim at. Ada then found her tail ring, and she flipped it with her tail and it went back on. She felt her heart was beating stronger, and her eyes were turning green. She has her Shamer's eyes back. She looked closely at the souls of her two attackers, and saw numerous of scars. They have lied to her, and they killed Anga.
"LIARS! You don;t care about me or thins Kingdom!! You just want to get rid of me so that you can hurt Malaki! You murdered my friend!!! YOU KILLED HIM!!!!"
"Who told you that??!!"
"No one but yourselves!!" Mjinga went to attack Ada, but she flipped to her back and kicked him on the underbelly, so he flipped and fell on a large clump of dead grass..........
The only thing that was blocking Malaki from the light was the demons. He roared and started to fight. He was aming for the lioness, but she dissapeared and now he's fighting the large lions. Malaki could not feel any of his power comign to him, there was no fire in his eyes or heart. His claws and the spikes on his back and his tail have grown sharper, but nothing more came to him.......
Artemis was trying as hard as she could to wake Malaki up. Most of her light was already dimming. She knows that her father up in the sky is furious, but she knows that she needs to help these animals, even if it means disobeying her father.
Ada was growling, and was biting Choyo on his arm, creating two deep holes, and she felt something hard, which might be bone. SWEET! She thought, but Mjinga tackled her, and was pulling her fur from her back, and his claws was scratching her on her sides. Choyo went to help his brother, but Ada was quick, and she held his muzzle in her jaws with her sharp and dangerous teeth. She was holding on to his muzzle and creating holes under his chin and on his nose, making him suffer for what he and Mjinga has done to her. Choyo put his claws on Ada's neck, so she released and Mjinga threw her, almost making her hit a rock. Ada stood up again, and she almost lost her balance, but she can't, becuase it would show that she is weak. She has to stay up strong so that she can earn her right to be free. Ada was snarling, and she wasn't stopping. Her growling was growing louder, and stronger. It was transforming into a roar, and her fury was building up..........
Malaki was getting angrier. The lions were tackling him, biting him, scratching him. Malaki felt his fangs were getting sharper, and his claws were getting bigger, which made them stronger. Malaki felt his eyes turning completeley red, and his blade necklace evaporated and went to his back where the tufts of his tail, which was a shape of a unuique blade, grew larger, and it transmormed into a real blade, it was dark red, sharp, and ready to use. Malaki roared, and as he turned, his blade tail slashed through the demons, adn they disapeared, but more came up, and they were still standing strong.........
The lioness' red iris was growing, and her eyes were completley bloody red. Her teeth had gotten sharper, her claws have gotten sharper, adn her fur color, even the color of her dark brown mane, have turned red. Ada roared in her Shetani voice and attacked her enemies. Her black wings sprouted out and she was up in the sky, and aimed at Choyo and Mjinga. She knows that her Shetani will not work for long, maybey a few minutes more. Her health cannot handle her power for long.
The little star was starting to get lower to the ground, her light was getting dimmer, and Malaki's breathing was becoming much more slower......
The teenage lion fell to the ground hard, and his power was now gone. It turned to a small blade, and it returned as a neckalce that was now around Malaki's neck once more. Malaki's powers were done for now, adn the only thing that the young lion has to face, is the Dark lioness.
"Spirits..... darkness...... power.... sinister..." Chanted the voices. Their voices have gotten stronger, and it's like they were chanting right next to you, right next to your ear, it was a loud whisper. Malaki was snarling, but the lioness had a still face.
"Malaki.... why did you fight the lions? They only wanted you to stay." Her calm voice returned.
"No.... they just wanted to keep me in........ YOU.... wanted to keep me in."
"It is best.... you wouldn;t have to deal with the problems of the real world."
"I want to."
"How would you know that? I know what's nest for you." Malaki was starting to growl, and getting angrier, adn he was getting blood thirsty.
"..... No.... You.... Don't..."
"Why not?"
"Becuase you are not my mother...."
"How do you know that?" The lioness asked. Malaki's heart was starting to hurt. His head was full of memories from his past. He felt hot tears were forming in his eyes, but they did not fall. His black sharp rimmed ears were folded back.
"Because...... My Mom.... My REAL Mom....... IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Malaki was roaring and was starting to attack the dark lioness.....................
Choyo got the scruff of Ada's neck and threw her down to the ground. Her Shetani powers have vanished, and now she has to fight the regular way. Ada feel much more weaker, adn she can feel that it's much more harder to breathe. Mjinga tackled Ada, and was biting at her right paw, where she has a black glove, adn he was starting to rip it. Ada was starting to bite at his mane, so that she can try to go to his neck, but it was unsuccesful. Ada bit him on one of his bruised arms, and he finnaly got off of her. The lioness stood up, and she felt wobbly. She started to run, and she jumped on Choyo's back and was pulling one of his ears. Choyo roared, adn he tried to fall on his back, but Ada jumped, adn he ended up hurting himself.........
"Oh.... Your Mommy is dead, Momma's Boy?" The lioness said, but with her hissing voice. "Do you want me to sing you a lulluby?"
"SHUT UP!!!" Malaki yelled. He tackled her, but she kicked him off, and he flew up 20 feet. He fell on his side, but he quickly stood up, and growled. She dissapeared and reappeared behind him and attacked. She was bititng him on the back, but his spikes grew, poking her hard, and she yelled off on a high shriek. Her under belly was bleeding, adn so was her chin and paws. The lioness roared and attacked Malaki again, but to her's and Malaki's surprise, he vanished and reappered next to the lioness. He has a new ability, adn he used it wisely. He dissapeared again, and he reappeared in front of the lioness and tackled her. He was ready to make his move that he was planing for a long time, but -
"WAIT!!! Please... don't do this. I'm your mother!!! You can't harm your own mother.... Malaki?... My son?... Please..."
"No.... You're not my mom, liar. Your gonna get what you deserve." He growled and bit her hard on the neck. She yelled a loud and painful screech, which might make your ears bleed. She vanished, and did not appear again. Malaki stood up, and was getting closer to the light. Finnaly he could go home, but then a screech was growing, and when Malaki turned his head, a dark ghost attacked Malaki and it went throught him. It was so painful, evil energy was killing him inside. Malaki yelled and he fell to his side. He was feeling so weak, he couldn't even move his tail. He realized it was the dark lioness......
Artemis was still shining light into Malaki, trying as hard as he can to release the lion from the coma
"Malaki.... please wake up.... I am nothing withought you..." she said..........
Malaki closed his eyes, and he wasn't breathing anymore. Then, the star was getting closer to him, and light was shining on him, and going inside him. She was turning into a lioness, like in the dream.
"You can't be dead." She said. "You can't be immortal either. You must live and help your friend. She's in danger......" said the star.
"Ada!!!"..........................
Malaki opened his eyes and he gasped air in his lungs. He realized that there was a bright light on the ground, like a star, and the light was dimming. Malaki was starting to get close to it, but was still keeping his distance. In one second, this large ray of light just bursted out of the star, and Malaki closed his eyes thinking that he might turn blind. The light was starting to dim a bit, and Malaki opened his eyes to se what was going on..........
Choyo looked at the weak body that was in front of him. Ada was gasping for air now. She isn't breathing, and she's bleeding everwhere.
"Get up!!!" Mjinga yelled. He grabbed Ada's neck and was making her get up. Ada tried to stay up, but she didn't want to fight anymore.... she wants to die.
"I.... don't... want to.....f-fight...." the lioness gasped. She was feeing so weak, it;s like she was numb to the pain, but she knows its stinging.
"Haha. C'mon..... You don;t want to fight for your friend? Hmmm?"
"Please.... stop.... I don't want.... t-to do this... anymore.... stop..." Ada whispered and begged. Choyo and Mjinga hit Ada under her chin. She flipped back, adn her head hit the ground. She then fell to her side, and was rolling to an edge of a cliff, her leg hanging on the edge, and she was not breathing.......
Malaki was amazed at what he saw. There, standing in front of him, was the lioness that was in his dreams. She had a cresent shape on her forehead, she had bangs that went to the sides of her head, her iris was blue, she had the yellow of her eyes, adn no pupil. She had a pointed black nose and her fur color ir dark brown, like Ada's but lighter, and she had a very long tail.
"... Who are you?"
"Malaki, there's no time to explain, we have to go, now!"
"Go? Go where?"
"Ada, she's in danger!! She's going to get killed if we don't hurry up!!" Malaki had no more questions and he quickly followed the strange lioness and went to help his dear friend........
Choyo and Mjinga wer getting closer to Ada. They smiled in satisfaction, and decided to give her a little "push". Out of no where, roars came up and Malaki jumped throught the tall grass.
"GET AWAY FROM HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Malaki roared. Choyo went to go attack him, and so was Mjinga, but he was faced with a teenager lioness.
"Hahaha!!! You wanna fight me? Little Cub?" Mjinga laughed. Artemis just smiled. Her eyes turned bright blue, the color of her iris, and blue ray light shot out and surrounded Mjinga, lifting him up high into the sky and squeezing him.
Malaki was facing Choyo now. The male lion attacked, but the teenager ducked and swipe at him with his long strong tail that had spikes. Choyo flipped and ran back to Malaki. He is still trying to fight this teenager, but he is skinny, and weaker than this young lion. He attacked again, adn he finnaly tackled Malaki.
Mjinga wasn't able to breathe in this light that was squeezing him, like if it was getting rid of his oxygen, and Artmis thrashed him to the ground and the blue rays dissapeared. All of a sudden, Mjinga jumped up adn tackled her, adn they were rolling, but luckily, the lioness pinned him, and her claws, were pinching into his flesh. The lion kicked her off, but Artemis was flying. Mjinga jumped up and grabbed her leg throwing her back down to the ground.
Choyo was on the ground, but he got up once more, adn Malaki was right in front of him. All of a sudden, he dissapeared, and was behind the lion and tackled him from behind, holding his neck with his jaws and his claws were holding on to his injured shoulders. Malaki jumped, and pushed the grown lion back to the ground.
"What do you have to fight for?!" Choyo yelled.
"For my friend!!! You have harmed her while she was trying to protect me!!! Some King you are!!"
"Oh, but you are fighting for nothing. You have nothing left!!!" Malaki roared, and he was on top of Choyo, and his blade sharp claws were puncturing Choyo's chest.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ADA???!!!!"
"Hahaha!!! Nothing that you would worry about! It's OVER anyway!!!" Choyo continued laughing, while Malaki was growling, adn the teenager grabbed the lion's neck. Malaki was biting deep and was moving the lion's head around like if he was a gazzelle. Blood was being splatterd and sprayed everywhere and Malaki's muzzle, chest and paws were stained with blood. Choyo was gasping, and he was making a sound like if he was still laughing.
Artemis was getting furious as Mjinga was throwing her everywhere. She was growling, which made the lion laugh. Artemis' eyes were completely glowing yellow and wind was starting to blow. As she roared, Mjinga was being pushed into the air by wind. Artemis flew up and she was attacking him in an place where the lion has never been. She was injuring the grown male, hitting him with everything she got. Then, they were both heading towards ground, Mjinga's back first. The two fell and tumbled in front of Malaki and they both saw him biting and trying to get Choyo's head off of his body, even though he's already dead.
"Get off my brother!!!!!" Minga yelled. Malaki turned his head and he was roaring. His eyes were dark and bloody red. His fangs were much more bigger than before, having blood dripping down adn falling to the ground. His growls and roars are louder and more threatning, and his muzzle was completely bloody. The young male walked off of Choyo and headed to Mjinga. The two males were running to eachother and they were both swatting eachother fierecfuly with their dangerous claws, creating brouses in them, and small scratches. They were both pulling eachother's fur and hitting their shoulders so that one of them would fall. Malaki stopped with his hitting. backed away a nit, and aimed at the lion's stomach, and made Mjinga fall to his injured back. All Malaki did was just put his large claws into Mjinga's neck and was chocking him.
"MALAKI!!! MALAKI!!! STOP!!! IT'S OVER!!!" Artemis yelled.
"NO!!!! They need more punishment!!!" Malaki roared. Artemis was running to him, and with her blue rays, she forced Malaki to get off, and he stopped attacking. Artemis went to Malaki and looked at him. His eyes went back to normal, red eyes with a black slits.
"C'mon, let's go find Ada."
"Alright, you go over there around the rock wall to see if she's there, I'll check all around here." Artemis agreed and she flew and left Malaki alone. "Ada!!.... Ada!!.... C'mon!! Where are you?.... can you give me a sign?" he yelled out.
The teenager was not breathing anymore. She opened her eyes in a mili-inch, and she heard something...... but she couldn't quiet make it out. Help..... she thought, and closed her red eyes. Her leg was dangling over the cliff, and the wind was blowing her dark brown mane. Her blood was dripping all over her body, and onto the dust covered ground, and her chest was not moving......
.................... OH MY LORD!!!!! What is
going to happen????!!!! We should stay shocked until the next
chapter comes!!! *Has a shocked face mask on* Y'know.... it was
fun writing this one. With all the action and the powers..... and
the blood......
