Last night I was at Sycamore, the local watering hole with Isaac and Nicole, trying to figure out how to bring down the cost of my kitchen renovation.
The ceiling is in bad shape and needs to be taken down and rehung with Sheet Rock, the contractor said. Isaac got me interested in doing the demo myself, then decided that it was too much work for us. Ahem.
After a few glasses of inspiration, Nicole suggested that I hang a pressed tin ceiling over the mucked up plaster and call it a day. It reflects the light; it's pretty; it's period. I LOVE the idea. I think she's a genius. Isaac thinks he told me to do the same thing two years ago.
