Serving Dish: Decorating with eyelet

Here's a scoop for you: Martha Stewart is expanding her crafts line, and its availability, with a collection for Walmart that just came out. The line is called Martha Stewart Celebrate and it has decorations, favor boxes, invitations -- the works -- for weddings or any parties where you want a coordinated look. My favorite is the classic eyelet line. I'm thinking of incorporating some eyelet into the design of my wedding -- those paper eyelet garlands would be a great way to break up the brown in the barn where our reception will be. (The garland is available in Walmart stores -- the rest of the eyelet line seems to be available online.) Eyelet has a light, lacey, romantic look -- but I think you could use it for more than just weddings. This garland, paired with some holiday reds and golds, would have a snowflake feel come December (I think it would read slightly Scandinavian used in this way.) Or mix in some yellows and turquoise accents and you have sweet summer party decor.
