They can certainly have a good pick. Actually let me rephrase that and say they can certainly have their pick as no application/ resume can really tell them of a individuals right attitude and capabilities of doing a job well.
Today however i would like to point out how some employers have made job search more difficult than others.
You go to monster.com or a newspaper, there you will find a lot of companies hiring in which a person might be inetersted, but each time you think to apply that very question pops in your mind, How much salary do they offer?
While very few companies list the salaries making the job search a little easier to most people and themselves, most of them dont have the courtesy.
Because the applicants will take the job even if the salary is not what they were looking for, but they will quit as soon as they find the one.
Wouldnt it be a waste of time for the applicants and the employers themselves. Although there are few companies having the intelligence to post a salary range, some others try to play you with your knowledge.
After all said and done they will offer you this and they may offer someone else that. Fine. But atleast there has to be a appx. salary figure in their post to give an applicant an idea to whether or not he should pursue that..
Bottomline a applicant may have few companies to choose from for what he may be looking, but the salary offered may be still a mystery until the last moment. And at the last moment no doubt some people have come across saying in their mind "what the heck, i should have tried the other place" .
