HARD TO FIND

Hi, I'm new here.
It is hard to find a good person - male or female. It works both ways.
I have seen many beautiful young ladies get hooked up with a mate that treats them like dirt or a toy. The male treats them as though they own the young lady. I think any relationship should be a 50/50 relationship. After all, they are both HUMAN! Going places together, doing things together, caring about each other and sharing is what it's all about.
How do you tell if someone is right for you? I don't know myself. I thought I did, but I was wrong. At least my divorce was a friendly one. We talked it out and agreed on many things. What we didn't agree on, we talked some more and worked it out.
How would I tell if someone is right for me? I guess she would have to be willing to share and care, not just about me, but about others as well. She would like to do things together - yard work, house work, relaxing and talking, having fun and just being herself.
I am very open minded and see all points of view. I understand others easily. And when they get hurt, I feel the pain too. My first concern is "Are you okay?" If you break an item, it can be replaced - you can't.
Dating is one way and the most important way to discover if someone is right for you. Talk things out, learn about each other, get to know each other. The way the other talks will give you big clues as to what he/she is like. Their background is another important factor.
One thing I learned a very long time ago, is be honest. Sure it may hurt to be honest, but you won't regret it and you'll be able to sleep at night. Being dishonest, you'll be looking over your shoulder all the time, on edge, afraid of the truth being discovered, and then the hurt.
With honesty, you will have nothing to fear.
