"June, moon, swoon. Geez, it just seems during these halcyon
days like we can fly. And, today we should ... pretend to fly, that
is! Stand with your feet together and your arms hanging at your
sides. Inhale as you slowly raise your arms, being sure to keep a
slight bend in your elbows and your wrists relaxed. Your arms
shouldn't be either rigid or straight, but should be slightly
rounded and held in a graceful dancer's position. Slowly lift
your arms as high as your shoulders and then lower them just as
slowly, exhaling as you go, allowing your arms to come all the way
down against your sides. Repeat this exercise nine times in
succession visualizing the wind lifting your arms and then actually
elevating you as if you were a bird flying through the sky. This
exercise lifts your mind and spirit while also loosening the
muscles of your arms and shoulders. It also promotes and
facilitates healthy breathing in your body. And, let's face it,
it's fun! It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's a
healthy and happy you! A nice way to end a moon-ey, swoon-ey and
genuinely nice month!"
