The only closet-organizing products I've ever actually considered buying

The boxes come in: sweater size (16" x 15" x 8"), shown, on sale for $24.99 each; shirt size (11" x 15" x 8"), on sale for $19.99 each; and shoe size (8" x 15" x 5-1/4"), on sale for $14,99 each. They're made of heavy-duty fiberboard covered in a wool-and-poly-blend fabric, and the drop-down fronts have magnetic closures. Has anyone out there tried these yet? I'm curious how they look (and feel) in real life.

Report AbuseThey do look nice, but I'd probably want larger sizes...I have similar "above the clothes rod" storage with just plain shelves. It's helpful that these have a pull-down cover for the fronts.

Report AbuseLooks like you can only get a couple of sweaters in each; what's the point? Just neatly stack your sweaters right on the closet shelves, you can get more right on the shelf than in these boxes!

Report AbuseBut what if the sweaters tumble over? I feel like I always try to stack too many and then when you need one from the middle it's a disaster. I wish the boxes were just a bit taller...

Report AbuseA box covered in wool kind of defeats the purpose of keeping bugs out of the closet. Cedar shelves work much better - you can customize their size and you can build them pretty easily (not to mention cheaply) yourself.

Report AbuseThree cheers for cedar!!!! Any box other than cedar is a disaster waiting to happen - remember that sweater you rarely wear??? What a smell when you take it out after a few weeks tucked in a closed up box in the top of the closet..... pheweeeeeee. That perfume smelled soooo good a few months ago!!
