Bahama Bay Vacations

Economic hardships have hit many of us, but the need to refresh your mind and body with a great inexpensive vacation still is in everyone.  With bookings down, many resort areas are offering unheard of specials slong with cruise specials and airline ticket specials you can travel for a lot less.  Here are some tips to enjoy even a quick getaway.

  • Instead of a long week trip, break your vacation up into small trips to several locations.  Close to home vacations offer the luxury of driving to your destination and enjoying local sights, food and entertainment.
  • Stay and travel during the week, weekday bookings are cheaper, again rotate around locations that will offer the type of entertainment that you and your family will enjoy.
  • Bring food with you to keep the cost of eating out food down. Many hotels or vacation homes offer refrigerators to store food.  Bring fast and easy food to make, pack your cooler and go!
  • Cruising deals are abound and you can go for as little as $299 per person and sometimes less. There is no need to travel to Florida to catch your ship either. Ships now depart and return to many ports on the east and west coast and along the Gulf of Mexico. You can also choose a land and sea package and do some sight seeing before or after your cruise.
  • Vacation Homes offer a "home away from home" where you get a condo or home for your stay that is fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your stay.  This is a great value and offers your family privacy and space to make your stay more enjoyable.
  • Find local things to do that won't cost you a fortune. Amusement parks eat cash, instead take in the local zoo or other attraction that won't eat your cash.  If you must go, check the parks rules, some parks allow coolers, you can save the expense of eating expensive dine out food at the park.
  • PLAN! Plan your days BEFORE you go and find discounted tickets to attractions.  Always offer alternatives for weather, indoor sights for rainy days etc.  By paying for these items before you go, your vacation will be more enjoyable since you won't always be dipping in your wallet.
  • Last Minute Deals offer discounted rates for rooms and cruises that would otherwise go empty.  Rather than taking the loss, the operators will take a slight loss rather than nothing at all.  If you want to leave within 5-14 days, these are the best deals.

Finally, just enjoy yourself and forget about all the things that make your world hectic and stressful. You work hard all year for a few weeks.
