Sloppy teaching and overly competitive students are giving yoga lovers serious and scary injuries. Watch out for these treacherous poses.
There's not a lot I can do about the trembly knees and weak, noodly arms except practice some more, but I can make sure I don't go slip-sliding into a coma with a skidless yoga towel. For real. This one from Yogitoes goes right over your mat and using the power of science, sticks to both your mat and to you, providing a skidless surface that will keep you stable. Physically, anyway. They're lightweight and absorbent, too--and unlike a yoga mat, you can wash and dry the thing. Throw it on top of your mat to keep it from getting skanky, or bring it with you to the gym to avoid contact with the nasty stranger-germs mats they provide. Plus it comes in colors like Frog Green and Deity Vishnu Gold. I can picture my total awesomeness at butt-kicking yoga, all of a sudden.
