Think bottled water is healthier to drink than tap water? A new report may make that faucet H2O seem more tempting. FatFighterTV has a look at this story and other diet and fitness headlines making news this week.

Should you give bottled water the boot?

You may think bottled water is purer and safer to drink than plain old H2O, but a new report finds it's actually less regulated than tap water. The report also shows the Food and Drug Administration has little power to regulate the safety of bottled water, and says states that can regulate it focus more on tap water.

Having too many energy drinks worries health pros
As energy drinks become more popular, there is growing concern over how they could affect young athletes. Health experts say more high school and college athletes are downing these caffeine-loaded drinks to boost athletic performance or lose weight. But too many energy drinks could lead to dehydration, tremors, heat stroke and heart attacks, the experts warn. They say young athletes should instead drink water while training and playing, especially during hot and humid summer months.

USDA will oversee school snack food
The USDA will have the power to regulate all food sold in schools – including vending machine snacks – when Congress renews programs for child nutrition. Senate Agriculture Committee chairman, Tom Harkin says this will ensure nutrition programs are not "undermined" by junk food in vending machines. Earlier this year, Harkin co-sponsored a bill that focuses on setting nutritional standards for food in school vending machines and stores to help fight childhood obesity rates.

    I know in my city our drinking water is safer than bottled water and it tastes better.
