Report AbuseHey RM!!! It's good to see you again... what kind of genre are you looking for?
IF you are into Historical Romance there is what that I absolutely loved... it's called "White Rebel Rose" by Janet Paisley (I think I have her name spelled correctly.... It's about a real Scottish Clanswoman that fought against the English (and ultimately her husband) during the Second Scottish Rebellion back in the late 1700's... just before our Revolution. I have a few more... but they are mostly historical romance novels (but not trashy like the ones you can get by the check out counters).. I just love historical novels period... so if you are into those I have a few that I can recommend to you.

Report AbuseWhoops, I meant Second Jacobite Rebellion... *lol*.. your welcome RM... another one that I enjoyed was "The Lady Elizabeth" by Alison Weir... it's a story about Queen Elizabeth I and what she went through up until she gained the throne... there are some what ifs in the story as well...
And then there is the Dalradia Trilogy, but they can be a bit slow to start off with... but by the time I got about a quarter of the way in, I was hooked and had to know the whole story... It's set back in the time of the Roman Expansion of Alba (or Scotland as we know it)... It has a bit of druid mysticism to it if you don't mind that kind of thing... but to me it made the story all the more powerful...
Lookie there RM, now you got me going... ;)

I got that from my mom... and that is one of the best things about not being in college anymore... ;) And if I can share what I read with a friend, that makes it all the better... :D I have a whole stack of books that my mom let me borrow that I have to get to at some point... *lol*
