Exercise machine recommendations, anyone?

Hi. I'm going to have some extra money soon and I'd like to purchase one or two exercise machines. I'd like an elliptical machine and maybe something else. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know I don't want a treadmill. Thanks.

PROCRASTINATION OF A PROJECT LIKE WORKING OUT WILL STILL LEAVE YOU WITH ANY CONTACT AT A GYM. IN THE DAYS OF ROME GREECE ,ETC. SENATORS WRAPPED THEIR CALVES TO HAVE THE ILLUSION OF LARGER CALVES. WHEN APPROACHED. THIS SYMBOL OF ILUSSIONARY ENHANCMENT SYMBOLIZED STRENGTH.

ALSO THE COLLISIUM HAD RUNNING WATER ALONGSIDE THE STEPS IN THE COLLISEUM THAT SPECTATORS WOULD SCOOP UP WITH THEIR HANDS TO DRINK.

ANYTHING OF WEIGHT: A CHAIR,PAINT CAN OR A STONE ETC. CAN BE USED FOR EXERCISING. ALSO WHEN IN ROME...ARCHITECTURE ADOPTED BY THE GREEKS

WHEN ONE APPROACHED A SENATOR THEY DID NOT SHAKE HANDS. THE EMPEROR OR SENATORS; THEIR HANDSHAKE TO THE ONE CHOSEN TO APPROACH HIM....THEY

WALKED UP TO THE INVITED AND THE HANDSHAKE WAS THAT THE SENATOR OR EMPORER GENTLY CRADLED THEIR TESTICLES....NOT SQUEEZING THEM LIKE IN GLADIATOR. THAT WAS THE HANDSHAKE THAT NOW IS THE SHAKING OF HANDS WHICH 150 YEARS AGO SHAKING OF THE HANDS WAS TO SEE IF YOU HAD A PISTOL.

Susie, if you can afford it, I think the brand is called life-fitness or pro-fitness. It is the brand of eliptical that they use at the gym. I recently bought an eliptical for a family member, and while they love it, I don't feel like it is as sturdy as it could be. Make sure you get on them all and try them out. A lot of them have adjustable stride patterns & fitness programs. Others come w/ programs that have people come and set them up in your home, and adjust them for the first year. If you put a lot of wear & tear on your equipment, than that might be an option as well. Good Luck!!!

I would recommend buying a rowing machine. Not a weight-rowing machine - the one which actually truly replicates the motion and resistance of using oars to row through water. It's a wonderful exercise for your shoulders, chest, and back, and you can change the resistance settings as you become accustomed to it.

It's one of my favorite cardio machines, aside from the treadmill ^_^
