A Scale with No Numbers!

The Quantum Scale

The Quantum Scale

As a girl with a quick metabolism, I've basically weighed the same since I hit puberty. As you may know from my introductory blog (hooray!), it wasn't until this past year that I really dug my teeth into fitness. One day, after about a month of weight training, I stepped on the scale and stared down at the number--surely I must have lost weight; I looked so much thinner! Nope. I had gained weight. 7 pounds of weight! Suddenly, my newfound confidence flew out the window. I knew that I wasn't fat, and knew that I had gained weight because of muscle gain, but I instantly became fixated on my weight.

My point is this, SELFy Fitness readers: stepping on a scale can be really discouraging. We all know this. For whatever reason, we let those 3 numbers completely skew our self-image. And yet still, we are drawn to the scale like moths to a flame! The solution? Switch out your regular scale for the Quantum Scale!

The Quantum Scale doesn't display your weight, it simply tracks your progress. Each scale is an individual tool, so after programming it on day one, you'll only know if you've gained or lost pounds. Just think about how much better your day will begin when instead of facing your 3-number weight, you're greeted with the fact that you've lost a few pounds. And hey, even if you've gained a few pounds, it'll be much easier to digest that knowledge than being faced with your newly inflated 3-number weight!

The Quantum Scale costs $89.00 and is available online exclusively at www.QuantumScale.com!

So only one person can use this scale? This seems like a gigantic waste of money. I bought mine at Target for $9.99 and everyone can use it. If you really want a scale that just tracks progress - step on the scale and turn the adjustment knob to zero while you're on it. Just because it says quantum doesn't mean it's that much cooler.

Novel thought Vixenvena- only it doesn't work because the springs in scales lose their tension and the dials only purpose is to center the zero with line and the dial only moves about 20 pounds in each direction. Most people use digital scales anyway. If you ask me I think it's a great idea!

I use a digital scale that gives your weight and tracks your progress (it can track up to three people). I think a quantam scale would be too discouraging for me, because I tend to hit plateaus every five pounds or so, so I just go up, down, up down a couple pounds. At least with a regular scale I can make sure my actual weight is in a healthy range, and try not to focus on the fact that my overall weight isn't changing much some weeks.

This is stupid it's still a number that will dictate how you feel??? The only thing it changes is the lack of an exact number just telling you how much up and down you go, A scale that only measures body fat would be the best, No weight so you can concentrate on actually being healthy not worrying about a number we made up to make ourselves happy/stressed/sad.

i think it would be better if someone invented a scale where you enter your height and it weighs u , dosnt show u a number, and just says healthy, underweight, overweight w/e
