7 Diseases Doctors Often Miss

Just like any other typical day, I spent my entire morning finding articles that make me become more of a hypochondriac then I already am.  I found the mother of all ones on Quality Health.  You can read the article here, but I'll list some facts that shocked me.

  • One in 50 heart attack victims are mistakenly sent home by emergency room doctors.
  • Breast and colorectal cancers are the most misdiagnosed diseases.
  • Celiac Disease is commonly misdiagnosed as irritable bowel disease or Chron's Disease.
All the things listed in the article were shocking and kind of discouraging, but those were some that stood out.  Has anyone ever been misdiagnosed?
