Who said Halloween was strictly for kids? This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday giving adults everywhere even more reason to let loose and enjoy the party. This year, whether you’re hosting or haunting a Halloween party, go beyond the keg and get creative with some cocktail candy instead!

Heidi Klum has been called the master of Halloween. She started throwing her famous Halloween party in 2001 and it has been a hot ticket in Hollywood ever since. She spares no expense on her costumes, either. The supermodel turned super-mom has dressed up as a Hindu goddess, a midnight vampire, and Lady Godiva, just to name a few.

To make things easy, try throwing a decade theme party where everyone has to dress up as a famous character from the 1980s. Serve old school classics like TV dinners studded with candy eyeballs and crustless sandwiches in the shape of skulls. Stuff grapes with blue cheese to resemble eyeballs and scatter them on a platter with port wine cheese. Whatever your theme, go all out. And most importantly, make sure the drink are good!

Prefect for Halloween, Van Gogh Vodka has created a variety of flavored vodkas that are ideal for mixing up candy flavored cocktails. Think dutch chocolate, wild apple, and caramel flavored vodka . Their take on the sweet stuff includes Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup cocktails, Candy Corn shooters and martinis like the Almond Joy and Starburst.

Caramel Appel Martini:

1-1/2 oz Apple cider or juice

1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka

1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka

1/2 oz Apple Schnapps

Glaze the inside of a chilled martini glass with caramel syrup and place glass in the refrigerator until ready to use. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled glass glazed with caramel syrup. Float a thinly sliced apple round (seeds removed) on top.

Almond Joy Martini:

1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka

1 oz Coconut Rum

1/2 oz Hazelnut Liqueur

1/2 oz Chocolate Liqueur

Dip the rim of a chilled martini glass into chocolate syrup and roll in shaved coconut. Place glass into the refrigerator until ready to serve the cocktail. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled martini glass with chocolate-coconut rim.

PepperMint Pattini:

1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka

1/2 oz Crème de menthe

1/2 oz Chocolate Liqueur

1/2 oz Cream

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a Peppermint Pattie candy wedge.

Peanut Butter Cup:

1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka

1 oz Castries Crème Peanut Rum

3/4 oz Chocolate Liqueur

1/2 oz Cream

Drizzle chocolate syrup into the bottom of a martini glass. Place the glass into the refrigerator until ready to use. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into the chilled martini glass and garnish with a peanut butter cup.

Starburst Martini:

1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka

1/2 oz Watermelon Schnapps

1/4 oz Banana Liqueur

Cranberry juice

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with lemon wedge cutout in the shape of a star.

Snickertini:

1/2 oz Baileys

1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka

1/2 oz Chocolate Liqueur

1/2 oz Amaretto

Splash of cream

Drizzle a thin line of both caramel and chocolate sauce on the inside of a rocks glass and place in refrigerator to chill. Combine all ingredients into a shaker and shake over ice. Pour entire contents of shaker into glass and add straw.

Candy Corn Shooter:

* Combine Oranje Van Gogh Vodka and Banana Liqueur into a mixer with ice. Shake and pour into the bottom of the shot glass.

* Combine Coconut Rum, Orange Curacao, Cream, and dash of Grenadine (for color). Shake in shaker with ice and gently layer on top using a spoon.

* Top with whipped cream.

Blood Punch

A party isn’t a party until a puch bowl in involved. Making this bloody beverage is beyond easy, too. Fill a large punch bowl with equal parts tomato juice orange juice. Then, add as much or as little vodka as you like. For added spice, mix Mott’s Spicy Clamato mix with the tomato juice.
