When did MTV's "The Hills" become legit?

Season 4 of The Hills premieres on August 18 on MTV and despite the fact everyone says they're sick to death of LC, Audrina, Heidi, Spencer and the rest of the Cali gang, we just know everyone will be watching and hyping up the show all over again. Heck, the hype never even disappeared during the hiatus: these people are now regulars in the tabloids! 

How did it happen that we were watching Jeopardy the other night and came face to face with a question about the reality show we love to hate? Has television hit such an all-time low that these non-actors are now legitimate stars? Be honest: how much do you know about the private lives of The Hills gang? If you answer truthfully, it’s a lot. And a lot more than we’d like to know. Or is it?

    All the "stars" of The Hills need to be shot. They are talentless, spoiled, pretty people that know nothing else than to be in the spotlight and crave attention.

    US Weekly is a guilty pleasure of mine. I hate to buy it but sometimes can't resist. How disappointed am I though, when I see Spiedi and Audrina, ect. on every friggin page?

    We need to stop rewarding these a--holes with shows and articles that showcase their dull, rich lives. And these people get paid to show up at events and they walk away with baskets of freebies-- for what??? A $2,000 goodie basket for showing up at an awards cermony-- COME ON!!! I can think of a million other places that money can go to.

    Put all these freaks on a plane and ship them off to a third world country. We'll see who can live the longest without their iphone or expensive skin products or designer duds. With any luck, that plane will crash in the ocean and we can be free of ever hearing from them again. Can Paris and Britany and maybe the Kardashians be on that plane too???

    Amen to that Nini Poo!!!!! I've never watched ten seconds of this show and I hate it and everything it represents. Why is this world f***ed up? Because of things like this. Because of praising and CELEbrating people like this. I'd also like to see Jessica Simpson, The Lohans, Amy Winehouse, and the really annoying cast of High School musical on that plane too!

    I've never watched The Hills other than clips of it on The Soup. From what I can tell all the the people on The Hills are vain, selfish, and stupid. I don't know why watching spoiled rich brats is considered entertainment. Thankfully, I have enough other interests that I'm not reduced to watch garbage like this on TV.

    now now every one you should hate on the tv show the hills it just shows the envy in you and how much you wish you were them. me personally love the hills it entertains me and ----- might as well watch it since your brain is totally addicted to the show dont stunt now and those for who dont know the show well i dont got much to say about yall but hey i reccomend it!! so watch the show on AUGUST 18TH!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOHHOHOHOHOHOH
