What's the most embarrassing music on your iPod?

Social music site Last FM has a feature that tracks what songs its users listen to on iTunes. Conversely, they’ve also compiled a list of the songs its users most often delete—aka musical guilty pleasures they’d be mortified to have someone discover in their music collection.

The top five most embarrassing singles? Britney Spears has two: “Piece of Me” and “Gimme More,” while Nelly Furtado “Say it Right,” Avril Lavigne “Girlfriend” and Amy Winehouse “Rehab” round out the regrettable tunes.

The most oft deleted artists are a little more shocking. Sure Britney and Avril make appearances again, while “unknown” nabs the top spot—are people so embarrassed they leave the title of the track blank in their iTunes to spare humiliation? Rounding out the group though—The Beatles and Radiohead. For shame! Perhaps such talented songwriters who’ve composed music that’s stood the test of time is not considered cool amongst music listeners, but we’re horribly disappointed to learn people have such disregard for two of our favorite artists.

Do you have music on your iTunes you’d be too embarrassed to share? [Last FM]

    Yup, Britney tops the list.

I also have a few tracks from the Disney "Jump In" soundtrack.

Out of all the songs that I downloaded on my I-pod the only one that might fit this subject if Def Lepard's Foolin. I like the song.

I confess. I have all Britney's albums. They are good for working out, and when a kid like a nephew or niece wants to grab my Ipod, they always choose Britney. I guess my 80's and 90's rock is not very appealing to them. But I hide my Ipod from adults, I'd be embarrassed to show I love Britney.

The best thing to do when someone finds an embarrassing track on your iPod is to laugh it off and have a convincing excuse ready: "LimeWire is always such a hit or miss"
