  unfortunately, vampire movies will always be made. the horror industry doesn't have a lot of creativity these days, other than flicks like Hostel and Saw (not to say that they were creative), all they really have is vampires and zombies.

  i hoped that they'd stop making vampire movies... but they arent. now they're taking from the book twilight. and they've totally warped it. the book is waay better. (please tell me if im off subject, but this movie does have vampires in it)

  by the way, i do agree that they need to get more original. = P

  well i love vampire movies, so i'm really looking forward to the one made for Twilight thats coming out in December! :D

  bah. i dont like the traditional ones anymore. the twilight series that is totally in right now? thats the one i love. that is def. non-traditional.

  vampires are sexy to begin with (i have a fetish. my boyfriend just found out why im so obsessed with his smile-he has the more pronounces canines. hehe), but edward takes that to a whole new level. =]

  && yeah it does look like the book is gonna be way better than the movie.

  Oh, I know, I know.... it's terrible. My son just doesn't understand why I didn't like "Thirty Days of Night", and I keep telling him the vampires were pathetically unoriginal and boring. As a writer myself, I had been (several years ago) working on a vampire story, however, due to the AWFUL things coming out now, I have abandoned it. Maybe in ten or twenty years, after the effects of all this garbage have worn off, I'll come back and finish it. But I don't see the point now with things like this coming out. They are flooding the market with sub-par, generic vampire "fluff", and personally, I hope it all bombs.... (WOW, I don't sound bitter or anything do I? LOL...)

  I don't mind a few vamp movies here and there. But personally I don't jump for everyone of them. My dad would, he would want me to be all excited about it, because I do read a few paranormal books, but they are romances. Not twilight, but by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I just don't always jump at ideas that have been older or as old as the original Vlad Tepes, himself.
