Where wouldn't you go barefoot?
partner
The last time I was in Las Vegas I noticed a
disturbing trend: Girls
walking around barefoot! These women went sans shoes everywhere from
the casinos to the public bathrooms, even on the dance floors! Even if
my feet were killing me, I personally would
never go barefoot
anywhere in
New York (or Vegas for that matter!) no matter how
uncomfortable my shoes were. Where wouldn't you go barefoot? And how
long can you spend in
high heels? What is your "
high heel expiration"
time?

I came out of the womb in stilettos!!!! I can usually go about ten hours in heels if I don't take them off. For some reason if I take them off and then put them back on my feet will start to hurt. But I have A LOT of practice in heels. I wear them everywhere. But sometimes I'll take some flip flops or another change of shoes if I think I'll need them. I just make sure that all my heels are really comfortable. And I wouldn't go anwhere barefoot except my front lawn. Ewww!!!

Only barefoot at home or the sandy beaches.
For high heels I can do 8hrs. More if they have a small platform. Yeah.

Tacky, tacky. Also, so unhealthy. I wonder how many of these women have tapeworms.
I don't wear high heels. I don't want to be middle aged one day and have foot surgery for bunions. I wear mid size heels, peep toes, that doesn't stress my ankles.

I can wear heels for about half a day or less. Then my feet start hurting. So I only wear them for special occasions when I have to dress up, or maybe to go out for the evening or out to dinner. But I wouldn't go barefoot anywhere (except the beach but even then you have to be careful not to step on broken glass, shells, etc.). I can't believe anyone would walk around Vegas barefoot. Yuck.

Okay, rule number one: If you can't wear the shoes until you get somewhere appropriate to to take them off, you shouldn't be wearing those shoes at all! If you are in such pain from your SHOES that you'd rather walk around Vegas (for goodness sake!) barefoot than wear your shoes, then you need different shoes, honey. I wear spiky heels sometimes, but only if I know they won't pain me. I can wear wedges all day long, though, with no problems whatsoever.

I wear shoes... anywhere and everywhere. My friend on the other hand loves to go places bare-footed. Including: movies, bank, restaurants(if possible, and much more. I suppose for a sense of false profiling. He's never given me a direct reason. Only because "he wants to". I guess he wants to show the people he doesn't need nice shoes and clothes to impress people. Unlike todays society. :: shrug ::

I tend to go out on the town barefoot all the time...i can dance better because i just don't stand on the dance floor with my beer in hand swaying to the music which seems to be the trend now...nobody actually gets out there and dances...yes I need a pedicure about twice a month but what is the big hooey...people are to freaked out anymore...why when i was a kid we used to swim in the sewer and, EGADS, rode bicycles without helmets or knee pads!!!!!

I walk barefoot in my home, my sister's home and the beach. Never at work, a bathroom, any public place. I love shoes- except crocs (ugly and uncomfortable) Max time in heels about 8 hrs.

Zeph, I don't think it's a matter of fashion or impressing people, it's a matter of health. Plus, aren't there city ordinances against this kind of thing? Since when are barefoot people allowed in public buildings? Movies, banks, restaurants?!?!? That's not only unhealthy, it's illegal and I'm surprised people aren't getting kicked out for this.
