Report AbuseI just bought a Jilbere 1 1/2" at Sally's and I love it! My two previous straighteners died (one after a year, one after 2 years) and the lady at Sally's said two years is pretty good?!?! That's the longest warranty they sell, anyway. I have super thick, coarse and curly hair and have to have it over 400 degrees to even make a dent . . . thank goodness for heat protectant spray!!
I can never get mine as perfect as my hairdresser either, but I think it's the blow drying - she spends a ton of time and has it almost perfectly straight before she even starts with the flat iron, where I get bored and impatient and throw down the round brush before it's straight.
I had mine thermally reconditioned a couple of years ago and LOVED it - too bad it's so expensive :(
