P.S. Make sure you don't buy this hellish flat iron -- over 50 readers said they threw it in the trash after trying it. Yikes!

Report AbuseFor some reason I never get the same results when straightening my hair at home as when my hair dresser does it at the salon. Mind you, I tried cheap straigthening irons and finally bought an expensive one. Admitting that the expensive one (Chi) does work better, I believe it's the addition of a straigthtening balm/cream/lotion that does the trick. Since I found a good straightening iron, I guess now I'm off searching for the best straightening balm...or cream...or (whatever they call it...)

Report Abusei curl my hair every day.. it's so fine and thin and flat naturally.. but my hair stylist makes it look this good (actually better) after a cut without the iron - just with a brush and smart hair drying techniques. i wish i could master that!

Report AbuseI have the Sedu 1 1/2" flat iron and it works wonders!
It gets my hair straight just as nice as when I come out of the hairdresser's place, I even brought it in to show him (he uses a Chi) and he said it was better than his! lol
Very pricy but worth it as you'll never need to buy another IMO

Report AbuseThe GVP (Generic Value Products) is modeled after the CHI and at a fraction of the cost($60 at Sally's) It works exceptionally good for my hair(which is very thin) and I would recommend it to pretty much anyone.
