There's-no-way-I'll-ever-try-it: The fish pedicure
I know, I'm cheating because I am supposed to actually
try something
but a) nothing exciting has come my way lately and b) today I'm more
interested in writing about the scariest pedicure I've ever heard of--I
got the scoop on
msnbc.com.
Apparently, a salon in Virginia is offering a fish pedicure. Clients
stick their feet into a tank full of water for 15-30 minutes while a
bunch of tiny, toothless fish
eat away dead skin and
calluses. And people pay $35 - $50 bucks for this! Eeeewwwww!! I don't
care how good the results are, I would be way too freaked out to try it
but supposedly it's a safer, more sanitary alternative to
scraping at
calluses with a razor. I think I'll stick with my regular foot file or
a pumice stone. Would any of you get a fish pedi? And speaking of
weird beauty procedures, have you all heard about the
bird-poo facial yet?

I would never try it, I dont even like fish to accidently touch me when I am swimming in a lake or ocean! It totally creeps me out, just gross to even think about!

I would never try it. But I'm from the DC area and have a friend who has done it at that salon. She said it was great and feels wonderful after. It's suppossed to be really good for people with diabetes for their circulation. But just the idea has me cringing.

My family went to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas.. It was such fun. The fish did that same exact thing to our feet. If we knew we were getting a free pedicure form the fishees, we would have stayed longer. We just thought they were freaky fish.
