Sweet Jebus: Every celebrity ever is getting a bob. Should you? (Bonus: my first slideshow!!!)

Now listen readers, I am not one of those people who recommends getting a completely new and perhaps difficult hairstyle just because you've seen it on a celebrity (that kind of thinking left many a misguided woman growing out a Demi Moore Ghost cut for years. Also? Wearing overalls, but that's another story altogether), but I have to say, this whole bob trend is very tempting. There's just something about it that looks super chic and sophisticated and like you've got your act together.
The cons, however, are many—frequent cuts, never being able to pull it up without a million bobby pins, extra "styling time" in the morning, bad bedhead, etc, etc.
But it also works on a variety of face shapes, is really lightweight and sexy and, if you're looking for a change, may be just the thing for fall.
Check out the many, many celebs who've cut it all off below. Let me know what you think.

Gwyneth Paltrow did it early this spring. Because fashion and beauty is sometimes dumb, this caused a stir.

I love my edgy bob! Long at the sides/front, graduated at the back. Seriously, best style I've ever had, loads of compliments from strangers even. I've never been this satisfied w/ a cut before. Got it from Sassoon, where they specialize in this look.

I just cut off 12 inches in may and love it. I went for the Posh cut and everyone seems really impressed. Plus donated the rest of my hair to locks of love.

my little cousin just lopped off about 6 inches of her hair and its a cute bob now, she is just 10, so it is really easy and convenient at her age, plus it is cute with barrettes and whatnot. =] but, i love my long locks, and would never take them away. =]

I been in and out of bobs for 15 years (looong before they became trendy) and I love them! I try other styles every now and then, but eventually I come back to the bob. One advise: Work with your hair, not against it. If you need a shampoo-conditioner-styling product-blow dryer-flat iron-serum combo every morning, the style is not for you on the long run. A good bob cut on the right head should work straight from the shower with just a little combing.

Bob's are chic and sexy. I usually alternate growing my hair long (like now) and then cutting it short into a bob. But, my hair is really curly and wouldn't look as sleek as these other bob's. I could blow it out or flat iron it, but it takes too long to do everyday.

Anyway, in my book, bob's are a definite do!

I have been so confused since Katie Holmes cut her hair. I wanted one so badly, but, now its seems that its almost getting played out. I have had them in the past when I was younger but they never made me happy. Now that I am older I feel that I might carry it better. What to do. My hair needs to be cut really badly but I don't want to make one of those decisions that you quickly regret, yet I'm sick of the long wavy look I'm now sporting. Any ideas?

Oddly enough, I was just contemplating yesterday whether I should get the Paltrow bob. I have sort of the same shape face and hair color, and thought it would be a great cut for me, but now, knowing that so many other celebrities and people have gotten bobs (which I didn't realize previously) I don't think I shall. I like to be stylish, but not trendy or a sheep..... (baa! baa!)
