Newsflash: Kinoki Foot Pads don't work. Duh.

NPR has a great story about how Kinoki Foot Pads are the biggest scam that ever scammed. An independent lab confirmed that there was no difference between an unused pad and a pad that had spent the prescribed amount of time stuck to a tester's foot. Well, of course there wasn't. The only toxins you lose are the ones that live on your hard-earned lipstick money. But then again, we told you this way back in February.

You are fully entitled to being smug around your gullible friends about this. We've got your back.

Geez, people needed a lab to tell them that? Hmmm, I'll have to apply my brain to possible "toxin removal" products that I can sell and separate a whole bunch of fools from their money.

i went to high school with a guy whos parents got rich quick by inventing a foot bath that was said to do the same thing - pull toxins out of you through your feet. so if it works or not, there is always some body that will buy it...

I thought these were pretty silly. Funnily enough, my sister-in-law was telling us how she used one of those foot bath things that Nicole E wrote about, and yes, my s-i-l is pretty gullible.

I saw these at Bed Bath & Beyond the other day and i honestly felt queasy. There's just something so gross about taking pads off your feet, which have turned BROWN from supposed toxins. Blech. I feel sorry for anyone who's spent 20 bucks on these.
