New York Sun-kissed Skin: Bond No. 9's Fire Island
I've never gone in on a
summer share
at the beach, but I've had enough friends talk about theirs
to know that it's probably not for me. You see, I like sleeping, casual
clothing, and settling down with a book on the beach—none of which seem
to be a part of the itinerary there. From what my pals tell me, it's
round-the-clock high drama during the weekend, and I just don't have
the energy to deal when I'm trying to relax. Hey, to each his own,
right?
Much to my surprise, however, I'm really into Bond No. 9's Fire Island scent. The fragrance
uses notes of cardamom, neroli, white musk (LOVE), and patchouli to
replicate the scent of European bronzing oils mixed with body heat.
Sizzle, sizzle.

Though passersby can detect the scent even if they're not on top of you, Fire Island is supposed to replicate the smell of your skin up close. For me, it totally does.

Oh, thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to try it out! I am a big fan of fresh summery scents. One of my friends wears the Escada Into the Blue perfume (http://www.fffabulous.com/2008/04/escada.html) and it is so yummy!!!

is that a womans scent? my boyfriend is very familiar with the line of Bond9. so maybe I'll test a nostril.

If you like another summer sizzle scent from Bond No. 9, try Coney Island, very fizzy fruity, and soft in the drydown. It also lasts forever on the skin. If you want a discreet soft fragrance, try Hamptons or Fashion Ave. Hamptons & Fashion Ave. are also nice layered.
