How much would you spend on a bra? Victoria’s Secret model Marisa Miller covers her boobs in $3 million

Victoria's Secret

Victoria's Secret

Every year Victoria's Secret debuts their pricey jewel-encrusted Fantasy bra just before Holiday time and their televised "fashion show." This time around supermodel and Victoria's Secret Angel, Marisa Miller, is wearing a $3 million diamond bra by Damiani. “It is an enormous honor to wear the Fantasy bra,” says Miller. “It’s one of the main features in the Fashion Show every year and I’m so excited to walk the runway in it.” The bra showcases white, champagne and cognac colored diamonds with a 16-carat heart shaped diamond dangling in the center. “It is surprisingly comfortable because the Damiani diamonds are embroidered onto the VS Very Sexy Convertible bra — which is actually one of my favorites.”

Hey, here's an idea for a gift! How about buying the Very Sexy bra and then a separate diamond (or diamante, or some other affordable jewel) necklace like a normal person?

We'll never understand the point of these ridiculous diamond bras, except perhaps to spark conversation. I remember seeing the Fantasy bra every winter in the Victoria's Secret catalogue, and wondering if anyone has ever purchased one. (Through some online investigating it would seem that no one has.) We also noticed that the price of the Fantasy bra has gone  down over the years--it was $6.5 million in 2006, and $5 million last year. Maybe Victoria's Secret is accounting for the recession and hoping someone invests? Since we're a little short on the $3 million price tag, and think that stupid heart pendant would look rather lumpy under our favorite new Old Navy cardigan, we're going to have to pass.

That said, have you ever splurged on a fancy brassiere? What's the most you've spent on a bra, and was it worth it? [People]

$48 for a victorias secret bra. and no, it wasn't worth it. now that i'm nearly 27, i've learned my lesson. i now swear by the value pack of maidenform bras at target. 2 awesome, good fitting bras for $16. i've got one in every color!! a higher price does NOT equal quality.

i bought a bra at VS that heidi klum advertised last year, it has air inside the cups to push up, every single person that see's me in the bra things my boobs look amazing, i on the other hand can only think about the 68$ tag that was on that little suker, and how many times i have to wear it in order to feel good about the stinking purchase... So far Ive only wored it a hand full of times, cause walking around with clevage like that can de deadly... But I truly dont believe in spending that much on a bra... For the most part, maiden form and vanity fair are the best because they dont cost an arm and a leg...

Oh my, I paid over $100 each for a couple of bras in Italy...they are beyond amazing! Every time I wear one, my husband drools! In other words, so worth it!

Eek. That's too much money for a bra. And how do you wash it? Cause I don't think I would wanna put that in my washer. And so what if it makes your guy all excited. It's still not worth it. I can do that without a expensive bra.

I have to leave a comment; the right bra is sooooo worth the money spent. I gave up on finding a bra that actually fit, until I bought a VS bra that was aaaamaaaazing; never before have I had such cleavage :) Moral of the story, a good bra is hard to come by, when you find one don't let it slip through your fingers...buy it!

i will never wear victorias secret anything. their employees are rude and their stuff falls apart quickly and they won't refund if you get the wrong size.

i pretty much only wear the underwear from victoria secret and have bras from there when i can get them for a good price. but for their stuff falling apart quickly, i complained to them about purchasing something that got a hole in it in 2 hours (a pair of underwear), and i got 2 new pairs plus a $15 gift card from them to make up for it.
