“Hot Picks” for Summer Maternity Style

Mommas, summer has arrived and maternity style is better than ever. The marketplace hasn’t seen this much splendor in years! Who knows how long these trends will stick around, but they are looking good and so should you. So pay attention and get ready to be spectacular!

Not that I’m trend obsessed (fashion obsessed, most definitely yes!) but I must say that I really do love these “hot picks” for summer style:

Leggings
Now I know what you’re thinking: How could these legs of mine look anything close to sexy in a pair of leggings right about now? You’ve got it all wrong - you’ll learn to love this great wardrobe piece.

Afraid of your legs looking like over-stuffed sausages? I love pairing a gorgeous printed tunic (especially one with a Marimekko-inspired print) with a slick pair of sparkly leggings or a pair with the ruching in the calf range. This combo not only elongates your legs, but also draws attention up towards that magnificent belly and smile of yours! Which is the perfect segue to my next point...

Tunics
Once seen as a vehicle for hiding or covering up your not-so-flattering body parts... hips, thighs, and a big ol’ belly that you feel like concealing? The answer used to be the muu-muu. So NOT sexy and definitely not cool! Modern day tunics designed with slim-fitting fabrics with empire cuts and flattering sleeves are ultra-sexy and elegant. Consider this not just a trend, but a soon-to-be staple in your maternity wardrobe.

Boots
Although summer has arrived, fear not the über chic motorcycle boot. A staple carried over from fall/winter, these babies show no sign of slowing down in the market. With so many options for a great boot cut - from the riding boot to the slouch boot, or engineer boot to the true rock-n-roll motorcycle boot - there's just nothing quite as important to a wardrobe as the perfect pair of boots.

Now, I’m normally not one to endorse trends as they tend to be exactly that... trendy... but these 3 perfect pieces are VERY of-the-moment (yet timeless in their design and purpose). So rock on, momma and embrace these trends for the summer and then some!
