Forever 21 Dips Into the Beauty Market

If Forever 21’s recent venture into swimwear went well with your shopping budget for summer, you’ll be excited to know that they’ve got something even more recessionista-friendly planned for Fall. Yes, that’s right, the discounted retailer known for its ability to reproduce popular designer styles and sell them at a fraction of the cost plans to enter the beauty market later this year, according to WWD. And with that whole lawsuit business nearly behind them, there’s plenty of room to rip off, er, “be inspired by,” prestige cosmetics already on the market. I would never buy any of their beauty products because I would be afraid that I would get some type of infection. Plus the stuff that Forever 21 makes are sooo cheaply made, even if their prices are cheap.

I would buy their eye shadows if they are well pigmented. I woud not, however, buy anything that would go on my face such as lotions, foundation, etc.

I tend to avoid most super cheap make up after using NYC products seriously irritated my skin... I would just be sure to check the ingredients and go to totalbeauty.com to see the reviews before buying, just in case.

I wouldnt mind buying eyeshadows or something, but I would NOT purchase their foundation, lotion, and pretty much everything else. I dont even buy drug store make up for my face, I always go for high brands and I'm very picky with it.

yes yes yes i will be there!this is my store for years and now lately more than ever!this year i spent way too much at this store like every week but i loooove them for yheir affordable unique vast ripoff of styles! i've tried their nailpolish before,it was crap of course but i've bought sum of their chotchky little trinkets and use them-a jewelry box, umbrella, jewelery tree thats a dolls torso that lookslike she has on the white madonna like a virgin wedding dress,a owl sowing kit, little stuff like that.I'll definetly check out their makeup line and support them as long as they dont raise their prices. This company keeps me happy because of how affordable they make it for you to try any look you can ever dream of,and their cuts and fabrica and fits are getting better I noticed!!And I love them for looking out for the big girls with their faith line.I would seriously work for this company-i love them!

wow some ppl think more money =safer cosmetics, how naive! Your skin is the best deciding factor, I only buy cosmetics with good return policy, if my skin produces a reaction, gets drier or oilier, I return it!

YOU PEOPLE ARE SO DUMB. U PROBABLY THINK THAT EXPENSIVE MAKEUP MAKES U LOOK BETTER. IT DOESNT. THE TYPE OF MAKEUP U USE DEPENDS ON UR SKIN TYPE. I USE N.Y.C. AND WET N WILD ALL THE TIME AND I BET NOBODY WOULD EVEN BE ABLE TO TELL. I THINK ITS GREAT THAT FOREVER 21 WILL HAVE MAKEUP. WHO THE HELL WANTS TO PAY 25$ FOR A M.A.C. EYESHADOW!!!!

I agree with u kcarr912, the make up doesnt have to be expensive it depends on your skin. i also use wet n wild and i love it i've even had stranger grls come up to me and ask me what foundation i use and they're surprised when i tell them i use wet n wild.

so it doesnt matter how much it costs you just have to find the right one for you and i think is great forever 21 is entering the beauty market, i will surely check it out!!!
