Disney Makeup Lines? Fabulous or Phony?
partner
I was going to do the mature
thing and blog only about the
very cute Avon hand creams on the left ($.99
each!), but THEN I noticed that avon.com has an AMAZING selection
of OMG-worthy teenybopper (in the best possible way!) beauty
alternatives! How amazing are these
High School Musical hand creams?! Given that I'm a grown person
who occasionally buys
BOP
magazine from the newsstand in her office building
lobby newsstand (DOES Zac eat bugs? I needed to know!) and
has visited the
personal weblog of
Frankie Jonas (a.k.a the "Bonus Jonas", age 8),
Disney-infused bath and body products speak to me. Am I alone?
Okay, so it's not Disney, but if you dig these High School
Musical creams, you'll love Will Ferrell's beauty
maven sunscreen line. Yes, you read that
correctly.
**Are you hugely fresh-faced and bright-eyed this Monday
morning? Me neither! Click here for
tips on faking that whole luminous, healthy-glow
thing.

absolutely not. That crap will tear up my skin and make me break out. It is usually so cheap and over-smelly that it does bad things to my skin. I also am not into the teenybopper disney stuff (I am 25).

Haha, I've seen that in the Avon catalog. They do actually have some Disney Princess ones, I bought my niece some little lip balms. And my (25 year old) boyfriend some Hanna Montana toothpaste, because he pervishly loves her. Sicko.
But actually cindy, it's just the regular Avon hand cream and lip balm re-packaged, so i really doubt it would make you break out.

How sickening is it that any corporation can repackage their current goods, replace them with photos of developmentally arrested 20 somethings and then mark up the price?? Its essentially the same as marketing cigarettes that taste like candy to us under-agers. Its a wonderful world we live in.

I love the avon hand creams. I'm not a high school musical girl but I bought the Christmas ones. I also bought the disney princess lip balms for my mom. I think they are cute and fun to keep in your purse.

I just don't understand the appeal of princess or cartoony things for grown woman. I don't think it’s cute for a grown woman to wear or have anything that childish or cutesy.
