Closet Exorcism: Toss Those White Tees With Yellow Armpits

user

Exorcise It: I’m starting with this one, because nobody is emotionally attached to their five-dollar white t-shirts, even if they're really old. Super cheap tees are fine – of course they are. But there is no reason to hold on to a five-dollar garment that’s marred by huge yellow pit stains. None.

Fill The Void:
So a lot of times I sleep in a shirt and then wear it to the gym the next morning (Gross? TMI?). I’m going to go ahead and assume most people don’t do that, so below are three different replacement options for three five-dollar-tee functionalities.

If you wore your tee as a base layer under sweaters, cardigans, and the like, try a long white layering tank as a replacement. They run pretty cheap as well, the lower neckline looks better with cardigans, and there's no sleeve bunching. I’m particularly crazy about Sparkle tanks (left, $12, 2 for $20). They come in a ton of colors, but go nuts and buy two in white.

If this tee has been your workout wear, treat yourself to something that is, plain and simple, just better. Even the best workout clothes won’t break the bank, and you deserve something great for having the motivation to get moving in the first place. The Lucy Interval Tank (center, $40) has mesh insets to keep you cool and won’t turn transparent when you’re sweaty.

If you’re been wearing them to sleep, by all means go right ahead and continue. Please just buy some new ones.
