Caudalie Vinoperfect earns its cult-favorite status

Some wines get better with age. If only the same could be said about skin! My favorite of the Caudalie stable, the Vinoperfect Serum Eclat Anti-taches, was name-checked on Allure's A-List and also the Best of Sephora. What's the big whoop? We all know that grapes bring a ton of anti-oxidants to the party, addressing any UV damage--sunscreens filter a great deal of UV load but some sneaky rays are still getting through. In addition, their natural acids offer a soft exfoliation effect to slough away the years. Okay, not years, more like a few weeks, maybe a month. But if that month was spent lounging by the pool in Cannes during July, recovering from one heck of a hangover, it's best we get those sins off our worried brow, non?

When I road tested, I definitely noticed softer skin and a reduction in my itty bitty fine lines. It's like the world is looking at you through rose-tinted glasses--holla! One word of caution: the product is formulated as a skin lightener to address sunspots and the discoloration associated with aging, which is a serious issue for a lot of women, but it's kind of a controversial subject if you take it to the extreme, so Caudalie seems to be not really bringing it up in the press packets. I'm super pale anyway, especially now that the days are growing short, so it's not really a concern, but something to be aware of. Over all, I'm throwing my carefully-manicured thumbs up to the Vinoperfect. Goes well with a filet mignon dinner or escargots, and perfect for a late-night rendezvous on the Prime Minister's yacht.
