Aren't knit fashions
just a conundrum!? So gorgeous, but so revealing of every little
lump or bump you just don't want to show. And so comfy and
wearable but so expensive! Haven't we all simply
drooled over a St. John's Coco-like jacket and skirt? And how
about Steve Fabrikant---the master of high fashion in knits? He is
in my view, if anything, a tad more expensive than St.
John's.
How can we avail ourselves of these lovely things without
bankruptcy and without terminally sacrificing quality? The answer
is Misook! I have a closet full of it and I am so happy about that!
Misook gives us every bit of quality and a good bit of the style
and design of St. John's or Fabrikant at a fraction of the
price! The designs are classic and timeless, as knit should be.
Misook Doolittle's collections are are built around the black
top and matching or coordinating skirts and pants. She will throw
in stylish details like the gold grommets in the top seen above
(which I bought and wear a bunch, both with slacks and a skirt!). I
recently saw a black top ornamented with a light teal paisley
ribbon detail along the front placket, which created a nice long
vertical line for a slimming effect and for eye-catching
prettiness. Most of Misooks knits are year round weight---except
for the most humid southern summer.
The yarn is of the highest quality and the craftmanship is superb.
I have had very few pulls or runs in my Misook experience.
Now...yet another differentiating feature...Misook comes in a huge
range of sizes including a full plus size offering. To me the
difference this makes is that, if you have a bit of a bulge here or
there, you have many size options to try to deal with it. A little
tight for the jelly roll? Step up a notch---and you go girl! If
not, go a tad more fitted to drive the guys wild with your svelte
self!
I would love to have St. John's and Fabrikant in my closet but
it just aint happening for this recession conscious girl!
So...I'll never be mistook for one who doesn't buy Misook!
